The sun had set behind the blazing ochre tinted Arizona Mountains, Framed by large billowing bright red clouds that contrasted with the deep blue of the sky. The glorious sunset and the old-style gospel music of the band combined their praise and encouraged the crowd sitting out in the darkness to join in the singing. When the sun had faded and the moonless sky became dark, Piona picked up the microphone. “When Elijah was on Mount Carmel, he asked God to reveal his miracle working power as a sign that he was the true God. Suddenly fire from heaven devoured the altar, turning the hearts of his people back to God. Will God answer with fire tonight? We shall soon see.”

Piona knelt and stretched out his hands towards the bright stars above. “O God of all religions and cultures. We thank you for your mighty healing hands and for your power over nature which was exercised so compassionately yesterday. Tonight we ask for the final and greatest miracle—the sign of your own choosing which shall turn the hearts of all mankind towards faith in your New International Order. We wait upon you.”

As soon as Piona finished praying, he looked up and searched the night sky, and then he pointed upwards, shouting, “Look it is the fire of God!”
The crowd saw only a small and distant glow at first. The powerful lenses of the TV cameras focused on the bright object above which through digital enhancement was projected onto the big screen, revealing a fiery glow of great beauty. The awed crowd saw the glowing object slowly advance to Earth and it appeared to be a moving and dancing exchange of brilliant hues of red, yellow, blue and purple.
Piona fell to his knees again and exclaimed, “It is the symbol of Pentecostal power—a sign given by the God of Elijah and Abraham; the God of Mohammed and Buddha. May his children the world over open their hearts to his purposes!”
The Mountains echoed the approving roar of the crowd. The fire drew closer until the crowd could see it plainly with the naked eye. The TV commentator struggled to give a worthy description, “It is breathtaking in its beauty and resembles the constellation of Orion with all its spectacular colour, pattern and motion, except it is much brighter and seems to be mixed with fire. It is like a most beautiful black opal, alive with dancing colours.”

Madeline and Owen were transfixed. Deep questions posed themselves to Madeline. “Owen that doesn’t seem to be some cheap low-level miracle like I expected from Satan; it seems to be coming from the depths of the universe. They said it was from Orion, is Satan allowed to go that far up?”
“I wouldn’t have picked it’d be as spectacular as this either—Satan’s really done a good job of it. Actually they didn’t say it was from Orion, only from the direction of Orion. Remember Satan is the prince of the power of the air.”
“Owen this is so real! Can you blame people thinking it’s all from God?”
“You’re not havin’ second thoughts are you Madeline?”
“Well…no, but it makes you think.”

"A gripping and thought provoking read which vividly illustrates the subtle types of deceptions Christians will face in the times ahead. This book is a must read for all those interested in prophecies of last day events."

"The Plot is fresh and gripping... its fast moving action will keep the readers attention to the end. Not only is it a good story but the book should also encourage readers to rethink their own relationship with God and the faith they will need in the troublesome times ahead."
